Temporary Road Closure/Power Outage - Friday, May 10, 2024

Please note that Hwy 64/74A is closed between the intersection of Charlotte Drive (near the Lake Lure Fire Department) and the intersection with Island Creek Road due to downed power lines.   Drivers may use the Island Creek Road detour.  Crews are onsite and addressing the issue.  The road will be temporarily closed until the situation is resolved.   Duke Energy is working to minimize disruption and restore power as soon as possible.  For questions email Communications@townoflakelure.com.

Highway 64/74 in the Town of Lake Lure, NC is now open.
