Public Works
The public works director is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and coordinating, on a day to day basis, the work and personnel of the town's public works department, including street maintenance and repair, street sign installation and maintenance, water pipe system repair, and maintenance, sewer system construction, general maintenance and repair, landscaping and installation and repair of catch basins and manholes, building maintenance, water supply systems, and overseeing sanitation and recycling efforts.
The public works director confers with the town manager with respect to short and long-range public works facilities, projects, and work programs; assists with the preparation of specifications for the purchase of public works materials and equipment; and develops material and cost estimates.
