Hazardous Weather Outlook
This National Weather Service has issued the following Hazardous Weather Outlook for northeast Georgia, Piedmont North Carolina, western North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina.
DAY ONE: Today and tonight, 3/15/25 - A powerful storm system will impact the region this evening into tonight bringing heavy rain and severe storms. The main hazards with any severe storms that develop are damaging wind gusts and tornadoes. A strong tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Gusty non-thunderstorm winds will develop today into tonight, with gusts from 25-35 mph expected east of the mountains.
DAY TWO: Sunday, 3/16/25 - Severe storms will continue pushing across the area through early Sunday morning keeping the potential for damaging wind gusts and tornadoes around. Additionally, gusty non-thunderstorm winds will continue into Sunday. Strong to severe storms may redevelop Sunday afternoon but confidence is low.
