The Town of Lake Lure is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Assistant Finance Director.   This position performs professional level fiscal operations, accounting internal auditing functions and collection functions. Work includes general accounting, budget preparation, research, forecasting, spreadsheet development, and financial reporting.  This position exercises considerable independent judgment and initiative in identifying and resolving the daily problems and activities of the fiscal control system.

Employment requirements:

• Include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study. CPA is preferred.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in accounting, preferably public financial experience and supervisory experience is desired.
• Governmental grant writing experience and working knowledge of online utility billing is also preferred. Consideration will be given to equivalent combination of experience and training. 
• This position is non-exempt, salary range is $57,118 to $85,679. Hiring salary is determined based on experience.
