Lake Lure Reservoir Drain Project Update 10/5/23

Progress is not linear

This has been a productive week for the Lake Lure Reservoir Drain Project.

  • A permit has been secured for the construction trailer.
  • Culvert Pipes were delivered for the temporary construction crossing in the river to access the back side of the dam.
  • Equipment was delivered to start excavation. 
  • On 10/5/23, excavation began to prepare the site for the temporary crossing.
