Hazardous Weather Outlook
On Saturday, September 10, wo22, the National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for extreme northeast Georgia, the mountains and foothills of western North Carolina and the northern Upstate of South Carolina.
DAY ONE: Today and tonight there will be periods of heavy rainfall will affect the region today through tonight. Repeated heavy rain showers impacting the same location will raise the threat of flash flooding, especially for locations along and east of the Blue Ridge escarpment.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN: Sunday through Friday, additional showers and thunderstorms will develop over the area on Sunday, with more showers and thunderstorms forming along a passing
cold front on Monday. These heavy rain showers could worsen any lingering flood problems, or create new flooding, through late Monday.
