Today's the Day!

The Town of Lake Lure, NC will begin refilling the Lake in stages, beginning today, 2/1/22. Some additional work must be completed at various levels as the Lake refills. The Lake will come up by approximately 6 feet over the first several weeks, depending on our weather. We will hold at 6 feet while additional work that must be completed at this level takes place. Once this work is accomplished, the Town will begin another phase of refilling the Lake. Please stay tuned here for updates as we raise the Lake back up to full-pond.  

NOTE TO CONTRACTORS AND LAKEFRONT PROPERTY OWNERS: As a reminder, all work on projects below the normal full-pond level of the lake was to be completed or work ceased by 1/31/22.
