2022 Friends of the Library Membership Drive

To streamline our renewal process, we will now be having a two-month Membership Drive for all friends and neighbors of our Mountains Branch Library every year.   During the months of February and March we are asking that everyone renew their membership or join the Friends of the Library.   (Of course, if you are a lifetime member you do not need to renew or if you have already sent in your 2022 membership -Thank You!  If you miss renewing your membership during these 2 months you can still renew/join anytime during the year.)

What do the Friends of the Library do?

• We host fundraising events throughout the year to help pay for library materials, technology and programming.
• Our largest and most successful fundraiser is our Books and Bites Author Events.
• We help locate and facilitate grants, endowments and bequests to the library. 
• We help promote the library through community events, newsletters and social media. 
• We use our time, talents and funds to further the mission of the library.

A few purchases made by the Friends of the Library in recent years for your library have been:

• $5000 Donation to the Bookmobile
• Digital Sign
• Programming-Cooking, Art, Yoga, Line Dancing, Children’s programs, Adult programs.
• Books and DVD’s
• Office and programming supplies
• Landscaping

You can renew or join the Friends of the Library for as little as $15 for an Individual Annual Membership, $30 for a Family Annual Membership.  Or you may choose to become an Individual Lifetime Member for $100, or a Family Lifetime Member for $150.  If you become a Lifetime Member, your name will be placed on the Lifetime Member plaque in the Library!
