BOOKS AND BITES 2022
The Friends of the Library is excited to announce our 2022 Books and Bites schedule.
We welcome back long-time author friends and look forward to meeting new ones!
KRISTY WOODSON HARVEY: “The Wedding Veil” Wed. March 30th. Kristy will be visiting us again to introduce her new book. This book follows four women across generations with a connection to a wedding veil and the famous Vanderbilt family. We invite you to have fun and wear your wedding veil to this event.
MARY ALICE MONROE: “Search for Treasure” Wed. June 8th. We love hosting Mary Alice and she loves coming to Lake Lure. This book is the sequel to New York Times bestselling author Mary Alice Monroe’s The Islanders, a beautiful story of friendship, loss, and the healing power of nature. Jake Potter is back on Dewees Island for another summer with his beloved grandmother, Honey.
DIANNA ROSTAD: “You Belong Here Now” Wed. Aug. 10th. CAROLYN CURRY: “Sudden Death” Thurs. Sept. 1st. Evening event. We look forward to meeting Carolyn and hearing about her new book. Her husband, Bill, will be joining her for this evening event. Bill played professional football with the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams and most recently head coach at Georgia State University.
JENNIFER COBURN: “ Cradles of the Reich” Tues. Oct. 11th. A richly told historical novel of three very different women at the Heim Hochland maternity home in Bavaria at the onset of WWII, as Hitler prepares to shape his Aryan nation in terrifying ways.
