Lovely Lake Lure in Snow

We received a light dusting of snow overnight, leaving a picturesque frosty scene this morning. We will have a beautiful sunny day today which will cause snow melt, especially in normally shady locations. Beware of patches of black ice on untreated roadways if you are traveling.

We are expecting a clear and calm weekend based on the following update from the National Weather Service on Saturday, January 22, 2022.

Today: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 44. Light and variable wind.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 22. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 mph after midnight.
