HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR LAKE LURE

Snow continues in the Town of Lake Lure, NC. The following update is from the National Weather Service at 7:30 PM EST Friday, January 21, 2022 Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Georgia and western North Carolina.

Tonight: Scattered light snow showers are expected to develop through the early overnight period. Snowfall amounts will be light, however, some roadways could become slick with compacted snow. Later tonight, some areas of freezing fog could develop in the mountain valleys, which could also lead to slippery spots and patchy black ice on untreated roads.

Please use caution if you are traveling this evening or tomorrow. Beware of black ice.
