Town of Lake Lure, NC Updates for 1/19/22

In accordance with Rutherford County offices, Lake Lure Town Hall will open at 12 tomorrow, Wednesday, January 19, 2022 due to inclement weather.

Please continue to use caution if you are traveling. Beware of black ice which will form overnight with freezing temperatures.

The following Hazardous Weather Outlook is from the National Weather Service for northeast Georgia, Piedmont North Carolina, western North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina:

Wednesday through Monday: Wintry precipitation may develop across the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia in the Thursday night through Saturday morning period, with Friday and Friday night having the best chance of
accumulating snow, sleet, or freezing rain across the region.
