LAKE LURE ROAD UPDATE: ICY CONDITIONS REMAIN ON ALL TOWN ROADS

EXPECTED TO CAUSE TREACHEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS THIS MORNING.

Transportation agencies have advised the public to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Any motorists that do venture out are urged to use extreme caution. If a road looks wet, it likely is covered in a thin sheet of ice.

All Town of Lake Lure roads were plowed by crews at least once yesterday, Monday 1-17-22. First Responders and Public Works Crews will continue to address issues as they arise. Town roads will be plowed once ice melts.
