Special Town Council Meetung Announcement

The Town Council has called for a Special Meeting to be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. at Lake Lure Municipal Center.

Council will hold a public hearing for the purpose of Ordinance No. 21-12-01 an ordinance assigning the acquired Boys Camp Road property to Government Use (GU) zoning.

Council will adopt Resolution No. 21-12-01 honoring the dedicated service of Shannon Baldwin.

Under new business, Town Council will vote on appointing Dean Lindsey to Public Service Director, appropriation for the Public Service Director Position, appointing Olivia Stewman to Interim Town Manager, and Ordinance No. 21-12-01. 

Lastly, Council will go into closed session in accordance with G.S. 143-318.11(a) (3) concerning information made confidential by law, G.S. 143-318.11(a) (1) for the purpose of discussing personnel matters, and G.S. 143-318.11(a) (6) for attorney-client privilege or legal claims.

The Council will return to new business to discuss the Interim Town Manager contract before adjourning the meeting.
