Boating Safety Classes
The North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission (NCWRC) offers boating safety classes throughout the summer. Many states have gone to requiring a boat operator's license. North Carolina currently requires personal watercraft operators to be licensed.
Expanding your knowledge of safe boating practices as well as state and local laws that regulate activities on Lake Lure is encouraged. Please note that any person under the age of 26 must complete a NASBLA approved boating education course before operating any vessel propelled by a motor of 10 HP or greater.
