WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING WITH INCREASED FIRE DANGER IN EFFECT FROM NOON EDT TODAY THROUGH THIS EVENING: This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for western North Carolina today and tonight, Saturday, March 26, 2022. Higher elevations may get a light coating of snow early this morning which could lead to slick spots on some roads.
WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING.
WHAT: West to northwest winds 15 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
WHERE: Mountains of the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia.
WHEN: From 6 AM to 8 PM EDT this evening.
IMPACTS: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
