Water Outage - Thursday, June 20, 2024
The Town of Lake Lure has experienced an issue with the water main that supplies Bottomless Pool Dr., West to Boys Camp Rd. and up to Chapel Point Rd. Town crews and contractors are in the process of assessing the damage and making the necessary repairs. Unfortunately water service will be out in these areas.
Please be sure to check appliances such as water heaters until water can be restored.

The crews on site were able to fix the pressure release valve.
- Additional leaks need to be repaired before the water can be restored.
- We anticipate water restoration before the end of the day.
- Once repairs are made and the water is restored, a boil water advisory will be issued until testing is completed.

Crews are continuing to work through the afternoon but, unfortunately, they now project the water restoration will take until late tomorrow, Friday, 6/21/24.

Boil Advisory - June 20, 2024 at 11:30 PM
* Crews have been able to restore some of the lines that have been impacted by the Town of Lake Lure, NC water outage.
* A boil advisory is in effect for any properties where the water has been restored.
* Crews are working to complete repairs for all customers as quickly as possible.
* When your water is restored, you may notice air pockets or additional intermittent outages as the work continues.
* The water will be tested as soon as possible and updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.
* Repairs are ongoing and will continue until all water lines are fully restored.

The Town of Lake Lure is pleased to report that all lines have been repaired. The water has been tested but results will not be available until tomorrow. The boil water advisory will remain in place until results are confirmed clear. Updates will be provided as soon as we have the results.
