TEMPORARY ROAD BLOCK 7/15/21 7AM: Memorial Hwy in the Town of Lake Lure, NC is completely blocked due to trees and wires down at The Highlands. The exact location of the road block is between Highlands Drive and Snug Harbor on Memorial Hwy.The Lake Lure Fire Department is working to get Duke Energy on the scene so crews can clear the ROADWAY as soon as possible. Updates will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available.

Update 7:45 AM: A Duke Energy crew is on the way to Lake Lure to clear the roadway. 

Update 8:15 AM: An Everbridge notification has been sent out.  A Duke Energy crew is on the scene and is clearing the roadway.
