Temporary Power Outage, Thursday, November 9, 2023

Duke Energy has advised that there has been a power outage in Chimney Rock State Park. Repairs required a temporary proactive power outage in Lake Lure. Power in Lake Lure should be restored within a few minutes. The repairs in Chimney Rick will take more time. I fire broke out due to sparks from the power source.  Firefighters are working to get the fire out as soon as possible.
