Storm Preparation – Proactively Adjusting Lake Levels

The Town of Lake Lure began preparations for the forecasted storm over the weekend. The
Town has begun proactively lowering the lake to accommodate forecasted rain. We plan to slowly release water with a goal of reaching 988.5 mean sea level (MSL) by Tuesday evening, 8-31-21. Full pond is normally 990. 5 MSL. Please secure your personal property that may impacted be by the storm. Updates will be posted as additional information becomes available.
