Lake Lure Restoration Update
The Town of Lake Lure, NC is pleased to report that the US Army Corps of Engineers and their contractors began the process of subsurface storm debris, silt, and sedimentation removal on 3/29/25. The work is beginning near the Memorial Bridge where the Rocky Broad River feeds into Lake Lure. Material is temporarily staged behind Morse Park to dewater before it is removed from Town.
The Lake Level is 981.66 Mean Sea Level, (MSL) on 4/2/25. The initial plan is to lower the Lake to 978 MSL as this project continues.
