Important Lake Level Updates - September 4, 2023

Important Lake Level Update - On 9/3/23, the Town of Lake Lure, NC lowered the Lake to 988.50, (1 foot below normal operating levels) to make repairs to a sewer line where lake water was entering the system. The leak occurred as a result of a damaged seawall near manhole #11 on Moffitt Road. 

On September 4, 2023, a decision was made to lower the lake an additional foot as the work could not be completed at the higher level.  The Lake will be lowered to 987.5 so crews can make the necessary repairs.
