Hazardous Weather Outlook - Rutherford Mountains
The National Weather Service issued the following Hazardous Weather Outlook on Monday, 2/10/25 for northeast Georgia, Piedmont North Carolina, western North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina.
- An active weather period is expected Tuesday through Thursday as several rounds of rainfall are expected to impact the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia.
- A period of heavy rainfall is likely Tuesday night, with isolated nuisance flooding possible, especially across the southwest North Carolina mountains, northeast Georgia, and western Upstate South Carolina.
- Another round of heavy rainfall is possible Wednesday evening into Thursday morning as a slow-moving cold front enters the area.
- This rainfall on top of already wet soils may result in nuisance to minor stream flooding.
