Hazardous Weather Outlook - Friday, 1/12/24
The National Weather Service has issued the following Hazardous Weather Outlook for Friday, 1/12/24.
Another in a series of low-pressure systems will affect the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia on Friday and Friday evening.
- This system will bring strong wind shear but weak instability ahead of a cold front during the day.
- This would raise the potential for a few severe thunderstorms, with damaging wind gusts being the main threat.
- Areas along and south of Interstate 85 may have the greatest risk depending on how much instability develops.
- Isolated heavy rainfall is also possible.
- Please secure your outdoor personal property.
- Ensure your boats are secure at varying lake levels and bilge pumps are fully operational.
- Call 9-1-1 for all emergencies.
