Hazardous Weather Outlook - April 11, 2024
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for northeast Georgia, piedmont North Carolina, western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.
Please use caution and stay safe.
DAY ONE: Today and tonight. Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms will cross the area this morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and early evening. Some of the storms may produce heavy rainfall, possibly leading to isolated flooding. An isolated severe storm is possible this afternoon and early evening, with damaging winds the main threat. Very gusty non-thunderstorm winds are expected to develop overnight.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN: Friday through Wednesday. Windy conditions continue into Friday and linger into Saturday. A Wind Advisory may be needed, especially across the mountains.
