FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following counties, Buncombe, Henderson and Rutherford.

* WHEN...Until 100 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 736 AM EST, As much 3.5 inches has fallen in spots in the Broad River headwaters and additional heavier showers are expected this morning.  Watch for developing out of bank of
conditions on area streams and remain wary for the possibility of a few debris flows.

  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...Black Mountain, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Village, Bat Cave, Chimney Rock State Park and Gerton.

When it is safe to do so, please report flooding or landslides
threatening roads or property to the National Weather Service

NWSGSP. Your message should describe the specific location where
impacts occurred and the depth of flooding observed.
