The Fight for Funding Continues

Senator Ted Budd visited Lake Lure and Chimney Rock last Saturday during the fundraising event.  He met with Mayor Pritchett and Commissioner Dave DiOrio and they spoke with him extensively on the financial assistance needs of the Town of Lake Lure.  Senator Budd seemed impressed with Lake Lure's ongoing efforts and vowed to help with continued Federal support.

This week Senator Budd is aggressively advocating for the Hurricane Relief Bill in Washington that includes over $100 Billion in federal assistance for all impacted areas. Lake Lure officials have been instrumental in providing Senator Budd with insights into necessary disaster policy adjustments supported by first-hand accounts of the devastation.

Senator Ted Budd noted, "My message continues to be that the people of WNC will not be forgotten by me or by President Donald J. Trump. We will be with you every step of the way."
