Cookies, Brownies, Sammies - Oh My!
The Lake Lure Olympiad is fast approaching on Friday 8/12/22 and Saturday, 8/13/22. In the past the Olympiad Committee has asked our community to donate cookies/brownies to help feed the athletes. This year there are over 500 athletes registered! The Olympiad committee has been most generous in donating proceeds from the Olympiad to Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach ad to local First Responders so we encourage the community to support their efforts.
If you are able to donate at least 2 dozen cookies, brownies, PB&J or pimento cheese sandwiches, the Olympiad Committee would greatly appreciate it. They can be homemade or store-bought. We ask that you put 2 or 3 cookies/brownies or a sandwich in individual baggies.
You may bring your donation to one of the following locations:
- Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach on Thursday, 8/11/22 between 10-3 or on Friday, 8/12/22 from 10-1.
- Fairfield Mountains Chapel Fellowship Hall on Friday, 8/12/22 between noon and 4.
