Boil Advisory 12/15/24 - Memorial Highway Bridge to Town Limits on Highway 9.

The Town of Lake Lure is pleased to report that the water has been restored to the properties affected by the water main break on 12/14/24. Town crews are still working to restore the downtown system for businesses and will provide an update upon completion.    

A Boil Advisory Notice is in effect until the water can be tested.

This applies to properties from Memorial Highway Bridge to Town limits on Highway 9. 

This will be done as quickly as possible and an update will be provided here.

12/15/24 4:30 PM Update

Water Service has been restored to all properties except the Lake Lure Inn, the Arcade Building, and the Public Works Building. The water samples have been submitted and updates on the Boil Water Advisory will be posted as soon as the results are received.

12/16/24 5:30 PM Update

The Boil Advisory issued 12/15/24 remains in effect until the water quality test is received back. This applies to properties from Memorial Highway Bridge to Town limits on Highway 9. Repairs are ongoing for the remaining customers in Town Center. Work has been completed on 12/16/24, but the concrete must cure overnight before the water can be restored. Town crews are hopeful water will be restored to all customers on 12/17/24. A Boil Advisory will be in place for anyone whose water is restored 12/17/24. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone's patience as this matter is resolved.

Update 12/17/24 at 8:00 AM

The Town of Lake Lure, NC is pleased to advise that the Boil Advisory is lifted for customers whose water was restored in 12/15/24. This applies to properties from Memorial Highway Bridge to Town limits on Highway 9.                                  

Repairs are ongoing for the remaining customers in Town Center. Work was been completed on 12/16/24, but the concrete had to cure overnight before the water can be restored, hopefully later today. Town crews are hopeful water will be restored to all customers today. A Boil Advisory will be in place for anyone whose water is restored 12/17/24. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone's patience as this matter is fully resolved.

 12/17/24 4:30 PM Update

The water has been restored to all locations in Lake Lure, including those in Town Center.  The Boil Advisory is in effect until further notice for those residing on Bottomless Pools Road, Keeter Lane, the Arcade Building, the Lake Lure Inn, as well as the Public Works Building.  The Town is hopeful they will be able to lift the Boil Advisory for these locations tomorrow afternoon.  Please be on the lookout for an update here.
