Autumn’s Beauty with a bit of Historical Significance

Public Services Supervisor Chase Harris shared his great, great, great grandfather's wagon (Crawford Harris) with all of us in Lake Lure!  Mr. Harris used the wagon to transport cross ties to Spartanburg, SC back in his day. While he was in the big city he picked up supplies for all of his neighbors and brought them back to Lake Lure.   This is a photo here of Crawford Harris and his family.

We also thank the Parks, Recreation, and Lake Department for putting out all the fall pumpkins throughout Lake Lure so be on the lookout for these. We are working to add a bit of fall beauty to Lake Lure as we work to remove all of the silt and debris.
