RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
TOWN OF LAKE LURE RUTHERFORD COUNTY, NC
LAKE LURE DAM RESERVOIR DRAIN
The Town of Lake Lure (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Lake Lure Dam Reservoir Drain
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Town of Lake Lure Municipal Center/Town Hall located at 2948 Memorial Highway (PO Box 255), Lake Lure, NC 28746, until April 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following Work:
Furnishing all materials, labor, tools, and equipment necessary to construct a new reservoir drain system at the base of Bay 5 of Lake Lure Dam, a high hazard, concrete multiple arch-buttress dam. The knife gate guard valve and jet flow discharge valve will be furnished by the Owner to the Contractor. Some underwater construction will be required to complete the Work. Establishing site access across the Broad River is included as part of the Work.
The Project has an expected duration of 150 days for Substantial Completion (reservoir drain system fully operational) and 180 days for Final Completion.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents:
Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be obtained in digital format (PDF) from the Issuing Office of the Engineer during normal office hours (Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM). Addenda Nos. 1 through 4 issued as part of the original bid process will be included as Bidding Documents for this re-bid. No plan deposit is required. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from other sources.

Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit:
No pre-bid conference or site visit will be held as part of this re-bid process.
Instructions to Bidders:
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract
award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. As
indicated in the Instructions to Bidders, the Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids in
accordance with G.S. 143-129(b).
