11/4/21 COVID-19 Update

There have been (270) Total Positive COVID-19 Cases in the Lake Lure zip code (28746). Sadly there have been 6 deaths. We continue to hold the families of these individuals in our hearts.

Rutherford County has had (11,508) Total Positive Cases as of this date. The Percent Positivity Rate is now at 8.1% (the average over the past 14 days). Sadly, there have been (329) Total Deaths related to COVID-19 in our County. We lift up the families and friends of these individuals.

The total number of people 18 and older vaccinated with at least one dose in the County is now (28,124) or 42%, compared to 71% with one vaccine in the state, and 67% fully vaccinated in NC.
We encourage those who are not currently vaccinated to take the vaccine. Free Vaccines and Booster shots are now available in Lake Lure at our local Ingles Pharmacy every day from 10AM-8PM. In NC there have been (1,487,656) COVID-19 cases as of 11/4/21, with (2,201) newly reported cases. Hospitalizations are now at (1,173). Sadly, there have been (18,211) deaths related to COVID-19. We are so sorry for the loss these families and friends have experienced. The Percent Positivity Rate for NC is now down to 4.4%.
