12/14/21 Town Council Meeting Summary and Video

I.Call to Order: Mayor Pritchett called the meeting to order
Agenda Adoption: The2022 Holiday Schedule was added to the consent agenda.
III.Mayor's Communications: Mayor Pritchett thanked everyone for attending the meeting in person. She advised that this meeting was a time of transition where we will thank all those who have helped us achieve all that we have and to welcome those who will be helping us move forward.
IV.Town Manager's Communications: Interim Town Manager Olivia Stewman thanked staff for their support and announced that the manhole rehabilitation project is going according to schedule. She advised that the Engineering Report for the Sewer System Project had formally been approved so the sewer replacement project can move into the design-build phase. Schnabel Engineering has begun the conceptual design for the dam rehabilitation project, and the Town should know about additional FEMA grant funding in January.

VIII.Fifteen Minute Recess
IX.Public Comment: Mayor Carol C. Pritchett invited the audience to speak.
- Ronnie Wood, 355 Shady Grove Lane, detailed concerns regarding a neighbor exhibiting possible nuisances and disturbances. Mr. Wood was advised by Council to contact Community Development Director Michael Williams.
- Debra Gardner, 137 Firefly Point, expressed concerns and questioned updated ambulance services and availability to Lake Lure residents. Mayor Pritchett advised Mrs. Gardner that this issue was of importance and was something the Town had been working on through Fire Chief and Emergency Management Coordinator Dustin Waycaster who was not present. This issue will be discussed as new information become available at future meetings.
