Thank you to those who joined us for the Town of Lake Lure Marine Commission Regular Meeting on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.

The meeting was held at Legends at Rumbling Bald, 153 Mountains Blvd. Lake Lure, NC 28746.

This is a summary of the meeting for those who were unable to attend. These are not formal minutes which will be included in the next month's meeting packet.
I. Call to Order
Mayor Carol Pritcchett called the meeting to order.
II. Agenda Adoption
The agenda was adopted as posted.
III. Public Comment
The public is invited to speak on any non-agenda and/or consent agenda topics. Comments should be limited to less than three minutes.
1. Debbie Warren (Yacht Island Drive, Lake Lure): Ms. Warren asked for an update on the status of the Marina. Town Council advised that the Town was applying for reimbursement from FEMA to rebuild the Marina since it was not usable following the hurricane. Ms. Warren thanked Town Council for this information but stated that she was inquiring about the proposed Marina near the Lakehouse Restaurant. Town Council advised that this project was going through the formal review process with the Zoning and Planning Board.
IV. Consent Agenda
A. Approval of the December 10, 2024 Regular Marine Commission Meeting Minutes
* The Consent Agenda was approved.
V. Unfinished Business
There was no unfinished business.
VI. New Business
A. 2025 Commercial Model: Parks, Recreation, and Lake Director Dana Bradley advised that there are currently 12 service contractors in the 2025 Commercial Model. She advised that the model is frozen since the Lake is currently closed. She advised that others may apply, as needed.
