Thank You STAND T.A.L.L.

Stand TALL Award

Recently, Officer Caleb Oates of the Lake Lure Police Department contacted STAND T.A.L.L. to request some assistance with the acquisition of some equipment.  Officer Oates spoke with STAND T.A.L.L.’s president Ron Kauffman and discussed the department's need for new thermal printers for each of its eight patrol cars. He asked if that was something that the NC nonprofit could do to help acquire that equipment.  Kauffman explained that the Mission of the organization involves supporting needs of area law enforcement to help them better perform their duties.

Kauffman stated, “The Board made the decision to fund the entire request, and we went to the people of the area communities to help us purchase the printers by donating, and many did.  We’re happy that we could provide these printers to the officers of the Lake Lure Police Department.”

When asked about their donation, Chief Sean Humphries said, “I had heard about STAND T.A.L.L. but had no idea that they would respond so quickly to assist our department to help us achieve a higher level of effectiveness that these new printers provide. It’s great to have an organization like them supporting not only our department, but a number of law enforcement departments in western North Carolina.”
