Storm Cleanup

The Town of Lake Lure has a crew on the lake today performing cleanup. Two additional crews will continue the effort tomorrow, 8/19/21 at 8 am. The two additional crews will be using barges and one of the barges will be using an excavator.  Lake front property owners should place debris on their dock and call Town and request pick-up. Call 625-9983 (front desk at extension 100) or (Lake Operations at extension 502).  You may also put in an online work order.  The request will be added to a list and addressed as soon as possible.

Note that the cable on the river boom broke last night during the storm allowing debris to passed into the lake.  Multiple departments worked late to support the clean up but there is much more to do following the significant storm.
