Employment Opportunity - Hydro Utilities Technician
The Town of Lake Lure is currently seeking a full-time Hydro Utilities Technician position. The incumbent will assist in operating and maintaining the Hydro Electric Plant, Drinking Water System, Waste Water Treatment Plant, and the Collections System. Employees in this class perform duties involving maintaining, operating, and repairing the Hydro Electric Plant, Drinking Water System, Collections, and Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Work is performed during normal daily work hours, emergencies, and weekend shifts. Sound judgment, initiative, and courtesy is required in the performance of duties. Work is performed independently and under the direction of the Hydro Utilities Supervisor. Graduation from high school or a GED equivalent and a valid North Carolina Driver's license are required.
This position is non-exempt and the salary will be determined based on experience within a range of $32,989 - $49,670. Benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance as well as a retirement package.
