Marine Commission Regular Meeting Summary - December 10, 2024

The Marine Commission held the Regular Meeting on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 4:00 PM.  

  • The meeting was held in Roosevelt Hall at the Lake Lure Inn. 

  • The public was invited to attend. 

  • There were approximately 50 in attendance.   

  • The following is a summary of the meeting for those who could not attend.

  • Note that these are not formal minutes which will be included in the following quarterly meeting packet. 

I. Call to Order

Mayor Carol Pritchett called the meeting to order. 

II. Agenda Adoption

The agenda was adopted as posted.

III. Public Comment:

The public was invited to speak. Mayor Pritchett reminded attendees to keep comments limited to three minutes or less. Comments may also be submitted in writing to the Deputy Town Clerk,
rcarpenter@townoflakelure.com, at least one hour prior to the meeting.

IV. Consent Agenda

A. Adoption of September 10, 2024 Regular Meeting Minutes: Approved

V. New Business

A. Updates from the Lake Advisory Board: It was noted that the Lake Advisory Board has not met due to the storm recovery. Meetings will resume in January. 

B. Adoption of 2024 Marine Commission Schedule: The meeting schedule was approved.

VI. Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned.
